What’s New in Service Pack 2?

GlobalServer

  • Volume discrepancies for DTN have been resolved.
  • Automatic sampling of best bid and best ask resolutions is being handled correctly.
  • HISTORYBANK.COM’s User Interface is now much easier to use and will provide more information during the download and distribution of data. You will now see bytes downloaded vs. total bytes in the status bar performing a download.
  • When you download from HISTORYBANK.COM, the default has been changed so that it will not automatically add symbols to your portfolio.
  • When downloading from the Internet, your Internet connection will now close immediately after the download is complete instead of after the processing and distribution of the data is finished, freeing up your connection line much sooner.
  • We’ve added support for higher speed baud rates, specifically 230400 and 460800 for DTN.
  • You will no longer receive errors from the GlobalServer looking for weekend data from HISTORYBANK.COM.
  • If the Internet connection is dropped during a download from HISTORYBANK.COM, we will attempt to re-establish the connection and continue the download.
  • You can now choose different dates for daily and intraday within the Download Data dialog in HISTORYBANK.COM.
  • Back-adjusted continuous futures contracts are now available.
  • HISTORYBANK.COM can now automatically determine the date you last downloaded.

  • History requests from the GlobalServer have been optimized for speed.
  • You will now receive a warning message if you are collecting regional stock data or redundant tick data using the Data Manager.
  • Symbols are now not automatically connected in Internet datafeeds, giving you the option to select only the symbols for which you wish to collect data and still maintain a large portfolio.
  • When setting up the GlobalServer, the programs will now check if any installed datafeeds support news in order to automatically register/unregister the NewsMonitor accurately.
  • You can now import expired future options into the GlobalServer for Signal (DBC).
  • Your portfolio will now refresh after downloading from HISTORYBANK.COM.
  • Events in the eventlog are now sorted in chronological order on startup of the GlobalServer.
  • We now prevent AOL users from being disconnected (by AOL) if the download (FTP download) lasts more than 45 minutes.
  • The calculation of up tick and down tick counts has been modified to resolve discrepancies in EasyLanguage calculations.
  • OptionStation now accurately requests all U.S. futures option chains from PC Quote.

Charting

  • The System Report can now be saved to either an Excel file (it will save all tabs) or an ASCII tab delimited file (only saves first tab).
  • TradeStation systems can now send their information through both e-mail and pager messaging.
  • TradeStation now supports 3 digit years for CSI, MetaStock/CT and TC2000 data formats, resolving the Year 2000 issue for these areas.
  • The products now request trade days back instead of calendar days back for GlobalServer data.
  • The color of the open and close price on status line now uses the same color scheme as net and percent change.
  • The sticky vertical cursor tool now has an added horizontal line when you hold down your left mouse button to increase accuracy of placement.
